Background:
A pioneering hands-free (i.e. no tying) shoe brand was looking to establish themselves in the D2C space. It turns out, their patented and patent-pending crushable heel technology has a lot of fans.

Strategy:
I conducted 12+ hours of consumer interviews, getting to the heart of the age-old question: why does tying shoes suck so much?

Leveraging these insights, I devised a brand strategy around the idea of inspiring more joy for the everday, by making this one aspect of life easier.
