Background:
A global diamond and jewelry conglomerate was in the midst of launching a new lab-grown diamond brand to appeal to Millennials and Gen Zers. They needed a name, and a strong brand to connect with their audience.
Strategy:
We related the idea of changing norms in courtship to changing norms in the way diamonds are sourced (a notoriously unethical industry, re: Blood Diamond, 2006). A more sustainable, solar-powered type of emblem that speaks to a younger generation’s value system. A “revelation” of sorts.
